π YouTube Content Planner β User Guide
This system is built to help you stay consistent on YouTube without overthinking your workflow. Use it to go from raw idea to scheduled upload β and know exactly whatβs done, whatβs not, and whatβs coming up.
You only need to manage two databases:
- Video Ideas β your idea vault
- Content Calendar β your production and publishing schedule
Letβs walk through how to use each part.
π‘ Video Ideas
This is where every video begins. Youβll use this database to brainstorm, store, and prioritize every video concept.
How to use it:
- Click New to add a new idea
- Fill out the key fields:
- Title β Write your working title or placeholder name
- Status β Choose where itβs at (Idea, Scripted, Filming, etc.)
- Category β Select the type (Tutorial, Vlog, Review, etc.)
- Target Audience β Add a short description of who this video is for
- Hook β Write the key idea or angle that makes it compelling
- Thumbnail Concept β Jot down what the thumbnail could show
- Priority β Choose High, Medium, or Low so you know what to focus on
- Notes β Add any rough outlines, examples, or references
Pro tip: Group your view by Status to visualize your pipeline from idea to published.

Content Calendar
Once youβre ready to commit to an idea, schedule it here.
This database tracks:
- What video is being worked on
- When it's publishing
- Whether key parts (thumbnail, script, edit) are done
